Join my TREADMILL READS book club. Benefits include a SPRING IN YOUR STEP and a daily dose of WISDOM. The only two requirements to join the club are MOVING YOUR BODY and READING at least 30-minutes a day.
I always recommend WALKING DAILY to my clients. The benefits of a brisk 30-MINUTE walk are countless but here are a few: Weight loss, preventing or improving conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure and Type 2 Diabetes. Walking improves bone and muscle strength. An outdoor walk provides a refreshing break, time to think, be creative and enjoy the world around you. If your trying to get your 10,000 steps in with your FITBIT or other exercise monitor it's going to take a little longer (45-minutes to an hour) depending on how fast you're moving.
I've combined my DAILY WALK with READING on the treadmill at the gym. My favorite reads are mostly Non-Fiction: Biographies, Memoirs, Self Improvement, Spiritual and Mystical Wisdoms or the latest in non-fiction. I can usually do a book a week depending on the book and my week. I encourage you join me, let's move our bodies and expand our minds.
MEMBERSHIP: If you exercise in anyway for 30-minutes or more and read a book for 30-minutes or more daily (shoot for 5 days a week), YOU'RE IN THE CLUB! I'll be Tweeting and Instagraming inspiring quotes and milage reports with #treadmillreads #booksbythemile etc. We can enjoy the same book or you can read whatever you choose.
Be safe, don't set the treadmill too fast. Stay focused. Keep hydrated. Be sure to stretch after you've moved your body and stretched your mind. Let's have fun on the road to being HAPPY, HEALTHY & WISE.
